At CS-1 Transportation Inc., we hold a deep appreciation for our role in the community.  We are wholeheartedly committed to making a meaningful difference. Each month, we contribute $1 for every transaction to a charity chosen by our dedicated teams. Charities reflecting our shared commitment to social responsibility.

This month, we’re excited to share our employees charity pick: “Camp Huronda Washrooms Renovation Campaign”. Let’s come together and make a difference!

Their goal was to raise $2 million for a much-needed renovation at the camp. The camp urgently requires new washrooms! As a result they have managed to raise half of their goal amount.

Amongst other wonderful things, the camp teaches diabetic children how to give themselves needles to manage their diabetes. They even provide them with awards like “Around the World” once they’ve learned all the spots on their bodies to use the needles. This helps these children become independent and enjoy trips or sleepovers with their friends!

Most importantly, those living with Type 1 Diabetes use sensors and pumps that are typically charged while they’re showering or getting ready in a bathroom. However, the bathrooms at the camp haven’t changed in over 40 years, and there aren’t even dry areas for charging devices.

That’s when Bonnie and Terry Jackson decided it was time for a change! They launched a project to raise funds for creating new facilities that will be both functional and fabulous for these kids.
